So we actually have a bed time routine down now. I was actually surprised that we started a little routine since normally we are more of the ….”go with the flow” type. But it seems that Miss Carlie likes her little bed time rituals. It starts with putting PJ’s on then diaper change then nursing, then brushing teeth, now we have to add….cleaning her ears since she got her ears pierced, then she gets to go pick out two story books, this is where Daddy comes in. When she picks her stories then she goes over to Daddy who is sitting in the rocking chair waiting for her. She hands him the book, then lifts her hands up to him and say’s “up” then she says please in sign language, and then he picks her up. They read thier stories together and then she puts them back. Then Daddy says…. “time for Father’s blessing”, and she runs to me and then I pick her up and we both sit down on Daddy’s lap and he prays for Carlie. Then when he says Amen, she gives him a kiss them one for me and does that back and forth for a while, then Carlie and I head up stairs, and the whole time she waves at her Daddy…saying “bye bye”. Then I take her in her room and walk her a few times around the room and rub her back and sing her a few songs and lay her down, and she just snuggles right in. , so we all tag along each summer and enjoy the nice hot weather! So this year it was extra fun having Carlie and Jude to add the mix. Now we have three very fun kids in the family, Sierra who is 8, Jude who is 8months and Carlie who is 14months.
